I was very underwhelmed by this book

Wonderful book!

Great book with wonderful large photographs that give a good sense of the featured apartments. Beautiful paper and overall book design.

Not helpful

This is a lovely book with glimpses into the stylish apartments of Ines de la Fressange's and Marin de Montaguts's creative French friends. The primary purpose of the book is not to give step by step advice on how to decorate "a la Francaise", but to suggest color palates, lighting, and design accessories that give a personal feel for each apartment. Sleek, modern designs, exotic handcrafts and nostalgic flea market finds are found here, from scandinavian lamps and chairs to Moroccan footstools and fabrics and adorable vintage dishware. If you want to be inspired this is a wonderful book, albeit it will make you wish for a beautiful Paris apartment of your own!

Both inspiring and practical with exquisite artwork by Marin Montagut. I’ve been a big fan (and follower) of his work for years and it’s a treat to see it come life in this way. I also love that they didn’t try to overload the book with too many properties but kept the selection focused, highlighting useful details for each home. And the cover itself is a keepsake worth opening up and framing — a beautiful book!

Enjoyable but not revolutionary. Pretty Parisian homes that will be out of style in about 10 years.

This book by Ella James absolutely blew me away!! I've never read anything by this author before and I devoured the book in just a few short hours! This book made me laugh, smile, and cry. Crying while reading a book is something I rarely do and I couldn't hold back the tears as the story continued. James had such a way with words and this book consumed my soul! I've heard good things about this book from book friends and it did look angsty but I had no idea I would feel the way I did after reading. My heart is heavy yet content after reading.This book was told in dual points of view. It was split up into two parts, past and present. I loved the character development and slow agonizing burn between Landon and Evie. You felt everything the characters felt and I couldn't help but get sucked in and invested heavily. This book at times had me wanting to go inside my kindle and give each one of them a hug. Parts of this story wasn't easy to read but I'm happy I did and this won't be a book I forget anytime soon. This is an excellent story about making painful decisions and having faith that everything in the end will work out. Deciding what is important in life and is it worth it and stopping at nothing to make it work. Your words will stay with me a very long time and hands down one of my favorite reads of 2017!

Ella James always puts a little surprise in her books.Surprise! Girl falls in love with her foster brother! Gasp! Taboo! Is it?I don't always love a story about teenagers, but the teen story needed to be told to get to their grown up selves. Gosh, I loved this story! It was a fast read because I couldn't put it down! I felt every emotion, from boy meeting girl, teens first love, a parent's anger & remorse, to finally, grown ups with a second chance at love. It wasn't the same old story & I highly recommend it! It's a complete story that won't leave you hanging or making you buy more books to finish their story!Read it & enjoy!

The moment I read/saw the teaser of this book I knew that this is going to be a great read for me and surely it was! Ella James was able to captivate my attention the moment I started reading the story of Evie & Landon. It was a second chance romance between foster brother and sister.When Landon became Evie's foster step-brother, the attraction was already there. Trying to fight it was useless and so they try to sneak in behind her parents back but of course, they are bound to get caught. And when that happened, Landon & Evie went on their separate ways. Moving forward to part II, both are now medical doctors. The tension of their first meeting and how will they react when they finally meet again after 10 years are just too much. Will they remember each other? Will they continue where they left off? Will they be able to rekindle those feelings?It's an indescribable feeling when I reach that part of the book, I'm excited for both Evie and Landon. It's really a page-turner story and Ella James was able to execute the plotlines brilliantly. Definitely one of my favorite book this year! I highly recommend this book if you're into this kind of genre.

I really liked this book and loved Evie and Landon but it felt underdeveloped and didn't always flow smoothly. One minute one thing would be going on then the next sentence a week's gone by. So much detail was left out. It felt like the author didn't want to flesh the story out. There were also a number of errors that should have been caught when editing. A few I'm ok with.... more not so much. I found myself rereading a number of sentences because they didn't make sense. I was a little upset that Evie gave up their baby, especially after what happened to Landon when he was a baby. I would have loved to have seen him develop a relationship with his daughter instead of having it skimmed over.Still....that being said, I really liked this couple. Especially Landon.

Beautifully written, and emotional ride I'll never forget.I loved this book, it was a page turner for sure, I couldn't put it down. Landon and Evie were a match perfectly made.I adored their younger years and my heart broke for them.With that being said, They both have such a strength it amazes me beyond belief that these two could conquer it all.Then we see them today and it was such a beautiful thing. They were so relatable, I could feel their pull. Again my heart broke for these two who are obvious soul mates, they just belonged together from the beginning.This was an EPIC RIDE to say the least. Their journey was both heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.

This was such a sweet and touching love story. I loved getting to know these characters and felt like I actually knew them very quickly!I really liked how the story was split into two parts, part one taking place in the past when the characters are teenagers and part two when they meet again in the present. Both Landon and Evie were fantastic leads and the dual perspective really allowed the reader to understand their emotions and where they were coming from.The romance was perfect, I loved how the first half really read almost like a YA novel with more veiled references and descriptions but then the second half when they are adults gives more of that adult romance feel.My only complaint was that some of the events, particularly the big 'secret' that Evie is keeping from Landon was pretty obvious to me and I could see coming from a mile away.However, overall I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be picking up more from this author soon!

I loved this story . Landon was a foster child and Evie was his new forster sister. they feel in love , got caught and her parents sent him away. 10 years later they are reunited both as Dr's but everything is not what it seems. They both had secrets that could ruin them .this book was extremely emotional. I felt for each of them . The feelings these two have for each other with stand the test of time. it is amazing how well James can write with such feelin. this is a great. book

I am a huge fan of all of Ms. Chamberlain's books. Though this book is short but it covers a lot of information. The author does a fabulous job of being direct, clear, and on point with her information and writing. The Craft is something that you can never learn in one book. Even though her books are centered around Wicca, the information is useful and insightful to all areas of The Craft and Witches. The book description is exactly what the book is. I myself have a library of several different topics. I started with this author and purchase every book as they come out. I suggest taking notes on things that peak your interest so that you can do further research. I loved this book.! This book was perfect for me as with me being Christian Wicca it had a lot of information from within that matched my personality as well as how I felt regarding the Elements around me and the life of this planet. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or brand new, this book is an invaluable resource. It is well organized and well written. A plethora of interesting facts and useful correlations. The author covers each element in detail and offers some interesting suggestions on how to connect with the elements, work with the elements, and show reverence for them as well. Very nice read. Very nice information. I definitely recommend this book and author to anyone looking to learn and grow.

I'm sure there are more detailed reads, however I find Lisa's books to be the perfect "quick read" to get a generalized understanding; a nice start for the journey... hence, "Beginner's Guide". Perfect for me, as I am new to this chapter in my journey. :)

This book seems well organized and good intentioned but it is not very clear how to get the demo apps to run, partially that one of the side-effects of React Native as a world that evolves quickly. Wish some more care was given to the nuances of a Firebase installation and so on but since that technology also changes so fast, maybe this is asking for the impossible.

Easy to read and understand, great examples and projects! A fantastic book to learn, I am not overreacting, really enjoy it.

Good book! A couple of things could have been done better. The chapters don't match the samples gotten from the web.. But a good book overall.

Probably one of the best books in the market to learn how to build mobile applications using React Native. It gave me the insights and examples needed to start developing react native apps.
