I love this planner and all of the tools included to help me attract my best life and to keep my focus on the positive.I'd only had the planner a few days and had been having lots of car problems. My daughter has been hospitalized for about 50% of 2016 and I haven't been able to work for 7 months now as I've been taking care of her, so a new car and the car payments associated with it were a non-option. But every day I kept writing about how much I love my new car and having reliable transportation. A week ago we were gifted a 2015 car by an incredible company that had heard our story. Talk about the Law of Attraction!I will continue to use the tools, exercises and journal pages that are in this book. I was going to say that it's been a life saver, but it's a life giver!

As a long time follower of Abraham Hicks and LOA, I found this planner to be an excellent reference guide. Of course you can make your own notebook or print workbook pages, but why should you when someone has put it all together for you already. LOA brought you to this product for a reason. I love having a step-by-step book that I can write in, plan my day, or think about an upcoming event I'd like to go smoothly. I've had this planner for a couple weeks now and I can't tell you how many times I've flipped through different processes to help me pivot or script.The greatest thing about this book is the project planning. I am so used to living in the moment, I never think about pre-paving anymore. Even though I know its an important step. I think its a helpful guide to remind you (daily) that you can really...be, do, or have it your way. I am very appreciative to the authors for putting this workbook together for me, thank you so much!

So, here you go. Yesterday morning I began reading my Law of Attraction Journal. I hadn't done my morning ritual yet because I wanted to get into the journal first. So I began to read. Then part way through I decided to make a phone call that I wasn't sure about how it would go. Though I knew it would be in my best interest. So while I was on hold and hold some more, I began to continue reading the journal. And low and behold there's Page 20, paragraph 2. OMG. Thank you Universe and Pam. Exactly what I needed about the phone call and conversation I was about to have. I read those 3 sentences several times until a very nice gentleman picked up. Our conversation? The outcome was even better than I could have hoped for. Yes. Better than I could have hoped for.I'm in love with my journal. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

It's OK but not what I expected. However, changed some of the wording and used it as a template for my own plans. We all have to follow our own path anyway.

I love having so many key essentials in one place, in one easily accessible place and in a great order. I had tried before to write down how to properly do the "tapping" technique, EFT and love that it's in here and is explained. So much is contained in here that I can't begin to explain how essential it is for anyone wanting to be on top of writing out their gratitude list daily, intentions, successes, outcomes, what you want to be do or have and to get into the routine of incorporating this into your daily life. Great planner!

The My Law of Attraction Project planner is a wonderful planner that will help you to focus on using the law of attraction. I had a desire to organize my thoughts in this area with better precision and I could not do it because using a notebook I felt was not going to be sufficient enough to contain all that I would be able to imagine. This project planner is already thought out for you so nothing gets left out. There are several processes included in this planner so it encourages you to do more in the area of focus which is good for building a momentum of thought in the areas that could benefit from it. I like how structured it is and when it comes to the processes and the instructions before beginning the processes are very well written and completely inspiring. It is a fun planner/law of attraction workbook that will really help guide you to the achieving of your goals and help you to be organized while doing so.

This is a disappointing book and appears to been designed in Microsoft Word rather than designed by a designer. I was disappointed because I wanted people to use the book and some of my classes and it is just poorly designed and extremely repetitive. If you go online and spend 20 minutes gathering the same data you will be better off and to save some money

Meh - I guess I was expecting something more which is just my own fault. But you don't have to pay for this, you can buy a cheaper note book and just do it yourself based on following any exercises law of attraction books talk about. Lists of gratitude, lists of intention, it makes it seem like it's giving you something more, but read a law of attraction book and buy an average notebook, you'll get the same situation and it won't be as expensive. Adding in mandalas is a nice touch that I appreciate (but you can buy coloring journals to get the same effect and you're not so limited with it)I wouldn't recommend it unless you like to have all the steps listed out for you instead of more freedom for yourself, but it's not really new information if you've read about law of attraction before. If you want the convenience of not writing out the layout yourself, I guess it could be worth a try.

This book was the most recent choice for our book club. It was ripe for discussion as to whether or not the right decision (to stay or not to stay) was made, and why. While this book would be enjoyable for a singular reader, the points of view that emerge from discussing this book in a group greatly enrich the experience. For those that had seen the movie before reading the book, some of the additional details and information given in the book made the decision that was ultimately made make more sense to them. Our book club is going to watch the movie together soon and then discuss it again! :)

I must say that i liked Where She Went much better than If I Stay. Am i allowed to say that? The second book usually isn't as good as the first book. If I Stay was all about death and Mia being in a Coma the whole time, and wondering if she should live or die. I couldn't handle that.It’s been three years since the accident that took away Mia’s family. Adam is a huge rock star now. His band Shooting Star is making albums, winning awards, and touring the world. Adam should be living it up, but he is no longer the same guy he was. His life is the shadow of what it should be and it all traces back to the accident that changed everything he believed in. He's a broken guy no longer in love with the music he used to eat, sleep and dream about. Instead he is a guy just floating by. A random chance encounter in NYC changes everything. The past that Adam thought was over and had left behind is suddenly right in his face leaving him no choice but to deal with his demons and decide if the past should be left in the past.Where She Went is told in Adam's POV which i absolutely loved. I felt so bad for Adam. He was so heartbroken after Mia left, and i could really feel his pain. I was really mad at Mia for leaving him like that, but after reading further into the book I understand why she did what she did. I also liked that in the beginning of the chapters were Adam's lyrics to the songs he written. This book was just so beautifully written and it's an absolute must read.

There are certain books that just emotionally drain you, and this was one of them. There are moments of sadness, moments of happiness, moments of pain, and moments of sweetness. It is a book whose story just stays with you.I love the way the story of If I Stay is constructed. It is told from Mia's point of view, but it isn't just her version of the present. Instead, it travels back and forth through her history and those of the people she loves. This gives the entire book a bit of a bittersweet quality, as you experience loss with Mia. You are a part of her world after the fact and it makes the present all the sadder. It is a story of. a girl with an incredibly quirky and fun family, a snarky best friend, and rocker boyfriend who represents everything she herself is not.Mia's family is built on music and love. Her dad was a former punk rocker and her mom his biggest fan. Mia's boyfriend Adam was a rocker whose career is growing even before he finishes high school. And then there is Mia, the classical music loving cellist who is on her way to great things. But, in a single moment, everything changes for her and for her family.The author doesn't shy away from the tough situations or questions that arise from Mia's personal tragedy. Instead, she makes Mia and the reader question themselves about fanily and choices. What is a family? How do you choose when faced with such diverse choices?This is a book about family and tragedy and unthinkable choices, but it is also a story of beauty. It speaks of the bonds between those we love. And with these themes, there is also the love between Adam and Mia. Their romance was beautiful, sweet and passionate. It was music that brought them together, no matter how different the two expressed it. And it was their differing musical genres that often threatened their relationship as their music took them in very different directions. I liked that their relationship was portrayed realistically. Instead of painting everything as perfect, it touched on problems and dischord.The interesting thing, however, was in how I related to Adam and Mia. If I Stay was Mia's story, but it was Adam that I identified with the most. There were moments during flashbacks where I felt like Mia was unfair or too demanding and it was Adam who was the sympathetic quality. And Adam's pain and anguish and selfless love was beautiful to watch. I watched the movie shortly after finishing the novel and I felt the same way for most of it, as well.My Recommendation: If you like a good, emotional read that isn't all perfect happy endings, then this is an excellent read. The story is beautiful and sweet, even as it is tragic and sad at times.

The premise of the story intrigued me, but that wasn't a huge part of the book. Most of the book is about Mia's back story, her relationship with her parents, her best friend and her boyfriend, her love for the cello, etc. I was surprised at how strongly the story impacted me- it really made me examine my own life on a deep level and I found myself crying on several occasions. I'm quite surprised this is considered a YA book- even though the main character is a teenager, I found the themes resonated with me at age 49. The writing is also superb- I haven't read a book this good in a long time.The only criticism I have- and it's a mild one- is that the "present-day" events, and what Mia goes through as she makes her decision, are not developed to the extent I thought they would have been. After all, it's the original premise of the book- you expect the character to go through a lot of struggles to decide whether to return to life or not. And in the end, you don't see her actually make the decision- it just kind of suddenly happens, and then the book is over. Perhaps not surprising since it leads you to immediately want to read "Where She Went" to find out what happens next. And honestly, the book was so good that I didn't even realize the life-or-death decision hadn't been explored fully until the book was over!

And the fact that I didn’t need a doctorate in social issues to follow her trains of thought and to have my heart stirred to action.Van Engen covers thirteen different places where social justice is needed. Her language is geared to the normal person, which made this book enjoyable to read. She’s divided each chapter into sections to give readers a better understanding of aspects surrounding each issue, but she doesn’t stop there, including global impacts as well as how each issue impacts those in our neighborhoods and country.Some of the issues presented in this book I expected: Disabilities, Human Trafficking, and Hunger are a few. But, she also touched on some surprising-to-me people groups/ideas, such as Creation Care and Families. She shares on each issue with a well-balanced Christian worldview.At the end of each chapter, Van Engen directs age-appropriate questions toward various age groups to keep conversations going. She also shares a boatload of resources for people of all ages to research to learn more about each issue/people group covered in the book.She shares Bible verses to look up to gain a deeper understanding of the issue from a biblical worldview.As a mom, I found so much to love about this book! As a former teacher I can see how simple it would be for educators to incorporate some of what is shared in this book to expand student understanding of the world outside the towns and cities they live in and to call them to action.I highly recommend this book as an amazing resource for people who want to become more conversant in the issues that most people in our world face every day. And it’s so practical for those who want to raise children whose perspectives expand beyond the familiar and have compassion for those who have different needs from their own.*****I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book is an excellent resource for parents, teachers, and youth workers who want to help young people become more aware of social issues. Van Engen is a parent and educator. Working with children concerning issues of justice is her passion. She sees fighting injustice as being representatives of God in the world.She explores fourteen topics in this book. Each chapter includes general background information and work being done on the issue. There are conversation starters to help get children thinking about justice issues. There is a Scripture devotional and suggested activities divided into age appropriate categories. There are suggested books to read. There are suggested activities to increase awareness, from YouTube videos to outings. There is even an appendix detailing how to organize a social action group.Topics covered include education, lack of water, people with disabilities, fair trade, health care, human trafficking, hunger, and more. Christians focused on nationalism and corporate profits may not like some of Van Engen's writing, such as her explorations of creation care and poverty.She highlights many social justice organizations active in helping others world wide. She advocates for us to pursue social justice within our own communities. She calls readers to be representatives of God in seeking justice for others. She has included a wealth of information for those working with young people. She also provides a reading list for adults and children, good for further study..I received a complimentary egalley from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.

I don't know about you, but I am overwhelmed by the information out there. It is hard to hear our own thoughts sometimes among the noise of those whose voice and opinions get louder every day from all sides of situations. It can be a challenge for sure. It makes it difficult to really listen to one another.It's complicated and not complicated all at the same time if that makes sense. The action we need to take is simple - LOVE, but the challenge is to know exactly how to show that among the can's and cannot's and do's and don'ts (not too sure about that grammar). What I know is that we should not ignore these hard conversations that may not be so hard after all.Our kids are looking to us to help them understand. It is not easy to do that when we ourselves don't fully understand. I don't have all the answers, far from it. But what I do know is that I am thankful for those who are asking tough questions and challenging us to think and process these issues. I read this book at a time when l was feeling depressed about limitations associated with aging. It put my cares in perspective. I did feel the last few chapters are mostly lists, but that was what was important to her. She wrote this book while still in college. How much more she achieved in the rest of her life.

I read this in 7th grade (45+ years ago) - but it was well worth the re-read.Miss Keller was an amazing woman. Just reading and understanding thatthings were so much simpler then, but the strides being made to help folkswas great. There were several leads to other patients & researchers tofollow up on — which always makes me happy when a subject interests me.

Ms. Keller writes of a life that seems fairly commonplace. She doesn't seem to realize how remarkable her accomplishments are. I suppose given the constraints on her observations of life around her she wasn't able to give any comparisons to other's struggles to try and accomplish what she does. So her story lacks depth. I have read other accounts of Helen Keller's life that I found fascinating. This was supposed to be illustrated but there were no pictures in this book. I was unable to finish this.

I have read the entire Mitford series multiple times and have all the books in hardback, but also read the covers off a set of paperbacks. I just started reading them on Kindle and still find the stories to be so fresh and uplifting. They take me to a place I want to live. Can't wait to start the next book... again!

If population statistics were normalized, Helen Keller's STORY OF MY LIFE would rank among the most popular/translated books of the last 150 years. I believe I once read that, after the Bible, it was for a time the most common book in the American home. And with good reason. All the more reason to applaud this "Restored Classic" edition; no mere reprint, instead is is a multi-layered and multi-angled presentation of the original text edited by Roger Shattuck with Dorothy Herrmann. For me, besides the historical information contextulaized Keller's long and variegated career, the most moving revelations are the supplementary accounts by Anne Sullivan (her teacher) and John Macy (Sullivan's husband). I recommend these, especially Sullivan's "Letters and Reports", to any reader interested in pedagogy in many a field including but hardly limited to "special ed". The Forward, the Appendices, the Notes, the Afterword --- I can't speak highly enough of this disciplined and empassioned variety of scholarship. For teachers who may be feeling -- at whatever stage in ther careers, somewhat lost at sea, this is bedrock material and ground to stand on.

This was an amazing young lady, I have visited her home in Florence, and was very amazed with the place and the story about her life. If you get a chance to go to Florence, Ala. DO so you want regret it.

The copyright page states that this is a work of fiction??? "This book is a work of fiction and any resemblance to any person, living or dead..." What's with that? Also, this copy has no dedication to Alexander Graham Bell. It is poorly put together as one has to pull the pages back as the type disappears into the binding. Is this a pirated copy? Shame on Amazon!

To read these books is to become one with the characters. The stories & spiritual insight speak so directly to the lives we live, it's as if God is continually guiding us to better understanding of what He wants for us. I love these stories.

In addition to a list of rules that make uniform writing possible, it's also a textbook, a dictionary, and an encyclopedia. It serves the need of a newspaper to keep writing concise and that makes some of the rules seem self-serving, but it is an invaluable aid to promote clarity and precision of language. This Style book, along with "The Chicago Manual of Style", are essential reference material for any writer and are my favorite gifts for graduates from both high school and college.

To put it simply, you probably already know whether or not you work in a field where this might come in handy. I'm an editor at a university, and while this book was not an essential part of my editor's toolkit, it comes in handy for settling textual formatting disputes, and insuring consistency.The book itself is well designed, it has a sensible layout and offers a pretty substantial amount of information in a manner that is intuitive and easy to understand.Generally speaking, if you have a question, the book has anticipated it, and has an answer for you. I've used AP Style Manuals since the early 1990s. This edition upholds AP's usual high standards. Last time I got one with a perfect binding and learned my lesson. If you are going to be using the manual for regular reference, you need the spiral binding. The perfect binding won't lie flat even if you crack the spine.

I first read about this book in a podcast I subscribe to and was immediately intrigued as though I have quite - okay a ridiculous - collection of plant based books, I have nothing at all like this and we all know that eating vibrant colors that are natural, tends to up the nutrient count.The book is stunning to begin with but also loaded with unique recipes that I have not seen anywhere else. The book begins with a look at the concept of "unicorn food" which the author describes as natures magic - foods that are vivid from naturally derived colors straight from nature. The movement began on the coasts with Unicorn milks and drinks and the author morphs it into dishes.Then there is a look at how to stock your pantry, some foods being relatively mundane such as blueberries, cacao and chia seeds but also beware that to fully immerse yourself in these recipes you may need to shell out a little on some 'superfoods' such as Spirulina, Maca and medicinal mushrooms. I purchased this book as I do already have many of these on hand and have found many of them here on Amazon or in my local Trader Joe's. A high speed blender is also another must for some of these drinks.The recipes are divided into 4 main sections: Unicorn milks and other drinks; Brunch Every Day, Snacks and Sweets and Slathers, Spreads and Sidekicks. Some recipes are quite simple, others involve multiple steps and having to make one item to incorporate into another for example, making a orange blossom clove custard to add to the probiotic rainbow bowl. So for me many of these dishes will be weekend creations when I have a little more time on hand. So far my favorite breakfast dish is the hazelnut mocha overnight oats as its a little like a coffee infused Nutella dish and I followed the suggestion of adding some medicinal mushrooms to up the nutritional goodness.Another thing I loved about this book was a section that addresses using 'waste' to create dishes which in itself is fast becoming a movement as people try and cut down on waste . This finds use of the pulp left over from nut milk and kale stems though I wish it would go further with some more ideas though it is a nice start.The main courses are colorful with her take on tacos, pastas and noodles. The desserts are beautiful and include ice creams and pops, cakes and donuts - all plant based; and the dips and spreads include jams, pumpkin butter and a healthier take on Nutella.The book is an interesting read and quite unique in both the content and the recipes. Just be aware that you will need a shopping trip if you do not have a pantry stocked with the ingredients it takes to create these unicorn dishes, but it can be quickly done on line (though not cheaply) but the end results are well worth it both for the looks, taste and impact on your overall health!

I genuinely enjoyed reading this cookbook and found it to be informative and full of bright, flavorful recipes. There were a few that really tasted incredible and the pictures are a joy. My friends already ask to borrow it! I did feel that the author tended to recommend a lot of the same brands, to the point where it almost felt like marketing. Another area I felt the book fell short was a wider use of culinary ingredients- one can only consume so much nut milk and chia seeds without needing something a little heartier (and still vegan) at some point. If you don't like the flavor of coconut, a lot of these recipes won't be well-received. Other than those few points, I really loved the book and discovered a few fun new treats to include at our next event.

Just a glance through the ingredients shows "pearl powder", which the author says is exactly what it means. Really? I guess those oysters just open themselves and hand over the goods.Ethical/humane vegans be advised.

I was given a copy of this book through NetGalley and the publishers for an honest review.This is a wonderful cookbook filled with vivid coloured illustrations, great nutritious and tasty recipes and ingredient descriptions. I can honestly say that just reading some of the recipes made me drool and my tummy rumbling for some of the wonder and delicious food to be cooked and served. The title of Unicorn Food is very descriptive and the food when cooked and tasted is magical. There was only one thing I had trouble doing is reading the print on some of the recipes as the colour of the font on the coloured background made the is a bit hard to my old eyes. to read. To give an example the Breakfast Tabbouleh Bowl with Avocado and Grapefruit Hollandaise recipe , The Drunken Chickpea Spaghetti recipe and the Broccoli Avocado Soup recipe were the ones I would liked to have tried but as I could not read the light coloured printing it was a bit impossible to attempt. Maybe the publishers should probably think about the older generation in this matter. Other than this I had a great time making some of the other recipes and the food was rated top classes dining by my family. I would recommend this book to all who love cooking and eating wonderfull and magical food. 4 1/2 stars
