I was married for a long time. As in decades. I was betrayed and dumped for "the other man." It was a divorce that I did not choose. I did nothing to deserve it. I was a stay at home dad caring for a child, which meant I had no income. I had to move to a different state with all of my belongings in two suitcases. Starting over? Yep! This book is not a substitute for real effort spent in God's Word, but it's a great read when you're so up against a wall that you feel like you've been shoved through it. It's an easy read too, which helps when you're so slammed that your brain is scrambled. And the book is totally in line with Biblical scripture and includes verses you can look up and meditate on. The author has also been through some nasty stuff too, so she's approaching the subject from the standpoint of "someone who has been there." If you're up against a wall, thrown under the bus, or at the end of your rope, read this book. I think it will be helpful to you.

When it comes to emotions,I know all about them and we won't even talk about fear and anxiety and panic.I was looking for some resource material to help me dial down my emotions and get a grip,that's when I came across Lynn's books,and checked it out,here was some real talk,not rehearsed or medical but real girl talk about real issues.I could not put it down,told my sister and just kept reading each one as they were available.And this book was like she had known me and was writing my life with the drama!!! If you have any issues with finding faith grab your Bible,grab a box of tissue,and get this book and enjoy the freedom of finding faith. I can read it over and over and everytime God speaks something new to my heart.

I thank her so very much for sharing what helped , this book like the other Lynn Davis books gives us easy, practical ideas backed up with scripture. Another wonderful book by Lynn R. Davis. I have learned so much from other books of hers but this is the best so far. I love that her books are short reads that teach faith strategies straight forward that are using her words, “simple, down to earth, relatable and to the point”. In this book she teaches how to have a “Faith Mindset”. I just love the goal of developing a Faith Mindset using Faith Strategies that Lynn lays out in her simple and spirit-led way. Not a book to read just once but to refer back often since we are a work in progress and need reminders and practice along with prayer renew our mind and develop a Faith Mindset.

I started reading these books starting with Left Behind in the shooting of 2001, and was saved by chapter 3. When I dropped to my knees and asked the Lord what must I do to be saved. I had not even heard of the word rapture ( in this sense) none less know what it meant. Thanks to this book I am saved. I am now reading them again for a refresher, one to get back to my first love the way it was when He first saved me, and because I just really enjoyed the books and want to read again, I had truly forgotten so much it is like reading for the 1st time. What a blessing. The only part that I don't like this time around is the inclination that the pope was raptured. The 1st time I read it I had no clue on, or about religions, this time I do and I don't want people having such a false hope as this. I know billions will disagree with me I this but you just can't sugar coat God's true word not to offend. I have to ask the question, do I offend and maybe help even one person from going to hell or do offend God, by leaving out his truths to appease the masses. I choose to offend the masses. Such a loving series of books. That I will be forever grateful for.

This kindle book is called "The Left Behind Collection", but it isn't a collection of 12 separate e-books. It is one very long book file that includes all 12 titles of the series from Left Behind through Glorious Appearing. (It does not include Kingdom Come, which is considered a "sequel".)To be clear, if you buy this you are getting one huge book file that contains all 12 titles, not 12 individual book files.So, it may seem rather odd that the Kindle progress bar will say something like 18% after you finish the whole first book. And, you can't chuck the prior books off your Kindle (or loan them out) as you move on, since it is all one file.Each title and every chapter in each title are marked and "go to"-able.There aren't any extras like whispersync for voice or xray.It says the title is lendable, but it can't be broken into parts, so whoever you lend it to will have to read all 12 books in 14 days.Still, if you've never read the books, or just want to read them again, this is an excellent value.

I have seen the three movies that are based on this book series. Left Behind, Left Behind: Tribulation Force, and Left Behind: World at War. The movies are great, but the books treat everything with a lot more detail and I am intending to read all 13 of the books. I just finished the second one and have ordered the third. It has been a long time since I have been so interested in the story that I almost can't put the books down. The writer's style is constantly compelling.

A vibrant view of what is coming to us all ... it's hard knowing the agony of the tribulation not to be afraid, but those who seek will find their faith. And those who find their faith, will find the glory of God and the heart of Christ. Thank you for this portrayal of the Book of Revelations. It's quite vivid and realistic, and so I pray we each find the truth of the gospel and refuge in our Lord and Saviour, our Redeemer Jesus the Christ.

Very well done. I tried not to read these books when my husband told me I really had to that they were so good and would explain the End Times of the Bible. But I thought I had the Bible itself. I didn't need these books. Well yes, I did. Even though I had read Revelations and the whole Bible and was rereading and studying, this book was a blessing, and I intend to read them all. Christians need to know where we came from, how Jesus came to earth and how he will return. Our job is to encourage one another in our walk with the Lord and to lead others to the truth. These books help us grow in the knowledge of what is coming. Great book.

I firmly believe the "Left Behind" series is a great work of fiction; great fan fiction, that is. It's actually second-generation fan fiction, if one considers "Revelation," a late addition to the Bible, first-generation fan fiction.I might have given the series five stars if there weren't any grammatical or factual errors. And I might have given it five stars if I was Christian, but I think when an atheist like me stands up and shouts to the world about how good these books are, four stars is a reasonable rating.The individual sub-plots move along at a nice pace, similar to John Grisham's and Tom Clancy's writing. And there are plenty of cliff-hangers. One of the great things about this collection is that one need not slow down for a moment to continue to the next book; a few extra swipes and the story keeps moving along.While I found some of the biblical passages repetitious and tedious (after all, I'm atheist), I also found LaHaye's explanations of how Old and New Testament passages can be tied together to explain "Revelation" regardless of how much editing the Bible had over the centuries.

This was an amazing series! So many times I've wondered what the end times would be like and although I've read Revelations and other prophecies from the Bible, to have it narrated in such a way as to make me feel like I was living it as I read... incredible. I have to say, the Glorious Appearing (last book) was truly anointed by God. Just reading it and imagining that Jesus was speaking directly to me as he was to the characters in the book...you can put yourself there in your mind and experience what the characters heard/saw. There will always be skeptics and people who will read this and believe it's just a fictional story,but I have no doubt these scenarios will come to pass. I pray that people who read these novels are convicted in their hearts and spirits and will come closer to the Lord because of it. Either way, the stories were riveting. There were times when I sort of skimmed a couple of paragraphs because they were a little too wordy for me, but overall, AWESOME! Plus, realize these books were written in the late 90s/early 2000s - any of the scenarios look/sound familiar like they're happening today...? Food for thought.

Really enjoying the read. I am impressed at how the author has woven 'real' life into a biblical teaching. Easy to follow along the paths of the characters and the biblical references also.

Matthew Karanian has been working and traveling in Armenia since 1995, as a photographer and journalist, and as a law professor at the American University of Armenia. Robert Kurkjian has lived, worked and traveled extensively throughout Armenia since 1995, as a photojournalist and as a professor of environmental science at the American University of Armenia. Matthew and Robert are also co-authors of "Out of Stone" and "Edge of Time: Traveling in Armenia and Karabagh." Reading the book and seeing the colourful photographs are entertaining in this book. Ä°t is commendable that the author of the book undertook the mission to write the book and have it published where other major publishers such as Lonely Planet and Fodor's Guide have ignored the cultural and touristic significance of Armenia 24 years after independence from the USSR.. The guide book is satisfactory, but has some flaws in its content - it delves too deep in the sights and attractions of the capital Yerevan while very briefly going over other areas of the Armenian provinces and countryside and falls far short of being a travel guide for Nagorno Karabagh; my conviction is that Nagorno Karabagh as an independent Armenian mini-republic should have its own travel book not combined with Republic of Armenia. Otherwise the book is worth buying.

Our annual family summer trip was a trip down memory lane but Armenia had changed so much. My last visit 1978, my mother 1938, my father 1991. Now we are a family of 10 introducing our children to their homeland. I am so happy, out of all the tour guides we choose The Stone Garden guide. Having traveled by back pack in my younger days I really enjoyed simple, honest, down to earth opinions and practical suggestions to out of the ordinary destinations. The conversational style of writing was easy to follow and filled with great reflections upon the current enviromental issues, regarding waterways, birds, flowers and especially the delicate aspects of the unprotected churches, caves and historical stone crosses. Each section is filled with travel neccesities along with historical, references to biblical events. Our planning was so smooth, we bought 4 books one for each family and clearly mapped out our day trips with great accuracy and alot of happy, energy contagious from the writers.As we read out loud to our parents, my dad proclaimed," This book is so good, why do we need a tour guide, just read it as we are driving."Thank you, Matthew & Robert for your years of research, great photographs but mostly for helping us recapture the ancient soul of Armenia

Good to read, and a fine travel companion. Very enjoyable, accurate and a well written, well illustrated, and pocketable book for my upcoming visit to Armenia.

Purchased this book for my Armenian mother's birthday after hearing a Podcast by Rick Steves. Rick interviewed one of the authors and I was really inspired to get this book and travel! From the interview, sounds like a very approachable country. Author has also done great photography in another book, which is a must-have.

Absolutely enjoyed the book.

I got this book for our recent trip to Armenia, based on the reviews I saw here. I am extremely disappointed with the book. One of the main problems is that the authors repeatedly left out important information on the sites listed. For instance, many of the historical churches are given one line of text in the book such as "9th century church with domed frame". But, once at the church and grounds, we read the signs around and realized there was much history at the church included saints martyred and other important events.As a guide to Armenia, the christian culture and shrines and some of the area's best highlights. This guide does a very poor job at highlighting the best this country has to offer.

An excellent book, presenting every detail in a very pleasant fashion. If you are going to visit the land of Noah, the first Christian country, i.e. Armenia, this is a must for you.One of the good things about the book is that it also touches Karabakh. It was liberated from azeri rule about 20 years ago, saving a part of the local Christian population from ethnic cleansing. The book is just brilliant... it talks about many historical monuments and the masterpieces of Nature. At the same time it is not trying to sell you everything: it helps to set the priorities for someone who has a limited time in the country.
