I was married for a long time. As in decades. I was betrayed and dumped for "the other man." It was a divorce that I did not choose. I did nothing to deserve it. I was a stay at home dad caring for a child, which meant I had no income. I had to move to a different state with all of my belongings in two suitcases. Starting over? Yep! This book is not a substitute for real effort spent in God's Word, but it's a great read when you're so up against a wall that you feel like you've been shoved through it. It's an easy read too, which helps when you're so slammed that your brain is scrambled. And the book is totally in line with Biblical scripture and includes verses you can look up and meditate on. The author has also been through some nasty stuff too, so she's approaching the subject from the standpoint of "someone who has been there." If you're up against a wall, thrown under the bus, or at the end of your rope, read this book. I think it will be helpful to you.

When it comes to emotions,I know all about them and we won't even talk about fear and anxiety and panic.I was looking for some resource material to help me dial down my emotions and get a grip,that's when I came across Lynn's books,and checked it out,here was some real talk,not rehearsed or medical but real girl talk about real issues.I could not put it down,told my sister and just kept reading each one as they were available.And this book was like she had known me and was writing my life with the drama!!! If you have any issues with finding faith grab your Bible,grab a box of tissue,and get this book and enjoy the freedom of finding faith. I can read it over and over and everytime God speaks something new to my heart.

Another wonderful book by Lynn R. Davis. I have learned so much from other books of hers but this is the best so far. I love that her books are short reads that teach faith strategies straight forward that are using her words, “simple, down to earth, relatable and to the point”. In this book she teaches how to have a “Faith Mindset”. I just love the goal of developing a Faith Mindset using Faith Strategies that Lynn lays out in her simple and spirit-led way. Not a book to read just once but to refer back often since we are a work in progress and need reminders and practice along with prayer renew our mind and develop a Faith Mindset.

I started reading these books starting with Left Behind in the shooting of 2001, and was saved by chapter 3. When I dropped to my knees and asked the Lord what must I do to be saved. I had not even heard of the word rapture ( in this sense) none less know what it meant. Thanks to this book I am saved. I am now reading them again for a refresher, one to get back to my first love the way it was when He first saved me, and because I just really enjoyed the books and want to read again, I had truly forgotten so much it is like reading for the 1st time. What a blessing. The only part that I don't like this time around is the inclination that the pope was raptured. The 1st time I read it I had no clue on, or about religions, this time I do and I don't want people having such a false hope as this. I know billions will disagree with me I this but you just can't sugar coat God's true word not to offend. I have to ask the question, do I offend and maybe help even one person from going to hell or do offend God, by leaving out his truths to appease the masses. I choose to offend the masses. Such a loving series of books. That I will be forever grateful for.

This kindle book is called "The Left Behind Collection", but it isn't a collection of 12 separate e-books. It is one very long book file that includes all 12 titles of the series from Left Behind through Glorious Appearing. (It does not include Kingdom Come, which is considered a "sequel".)To be clear, if you buy this you are getting one huge book file that contains all 12 titles, not 12 individual book files.So, it may seem rather odd that the Kindle progress bar will say something like 18% after you finish the whole first book. And, you can't chuck the prior books off your Kindle (or loan them out) as you move on, since it is all one file.Each title and every chapter in each title are marked and "go to"-able.There aren't any extras like whispersync for voice or xray.It says the title is lendable, but it can't be broken into parts, so whoever you lend it to will have to read all 12 books in 14 days.Still, if you've never read the books, or just want to read them again, this is an excellent value.

I have seen the three movies that are based on this book series. Left Behind, Left Behind: Tribulation Force, and Left Behind: World at War. The movies are great, but the books treat everything with a lot more detail and I am intending to read all 13 of the books. I just finished the second one and have ordered the third. It has been a long time since I have been so interested in the story that I almost can't put the books down. The writer's style is constantly compelling.

A vibrant view of what is coming to us all ... it's hard knowing the agony of the tribulation not to be afraid, but those who seek will find their faith. And those who find their faith, will find the glory of God and the heart of Christ. Thank you for this portrayal of the Book of Revelations. It's quite vivid and realistic, and so I pray we each find the truth of the gospel and refuge in our Lord and Saviour, our Redeemer Jesus the Christ.

Very well done. I tried not to read these books when my husband told me I really had to that they were so good and would explain the End Times of the Bible. But I thought I had the Bible itself. I didn't need these books. Well yes, I did. Even though I had read Revelations and the whole Bible and was rereading and studying, this book was a blessing, and I intend to read them all. Christians need to know where we came from, how Jesus came to earth and how he will return. Our job is to encourage one another in our walk with the Lord and to lead others to the truth. These books help us grow in the knowledge of what is coming. Great book.

I firmly believe the "Left Behind" series is a great work of fiction; great fan fiction, that is. It's actually second-generation fan fiction, if one considers "Revelation," a late addition to the Bible, first-generation fan fiction.I might have given the series five stars if there weren't any grammatical or factual errors. And I might have given it five stars if I was Christian, but I think when an atheist like me stands up and shouts to the world about how good these books are, four stars is a reasonable rating.The individual sub-plots move along at a nice pace, similar to John Grisham's and Tom Clancy's writing. And there are plenty of cliff-hangers. One of the great things about this collection is that one need not slow down for a moment to continue to the next book; a few extra swipes and the story keeps moving along.While I found some of the biblical passages repetitious and tedious (after all, I'm atheist), I also found LaHaye's explanations of how Old and New Testament passages can be tied together to explain "Revelation" regardless of how much editing the Bible had over the centuries.

This was an amazing series! So many times I've wondered what the end times would be like and although I've read Revelations and other prophecies from the Bible, to have it narrated in such a way as to make me feel like I was living it as I read... incredible. I have to say, the Glorious Appearing (last book) was truly anointed by God. Just reading it and imagining that Jesus was speaking directly to me as he was to the characters in the book...you can put yourself there in your mind and experience what the characters heard/saw. There will always be skeptics and people who will read this and believe it's just a fictional story,but I have no doubt these scenarios will come to pass. I pray that people who read these novels are convicted in their hearts and spirits and will come closer to the Lord because of it. Either way, the stories were riveting. There were times when I sort of skimmed a couple of paragraphs because they were a little too wordy for me, but overall, AWESOME! Plus, realize these books were written in the late 90s/early 2000s - any of the scenarios look/sound familiar like they're happening today...? Food for thought.

Really enjoying the read. I am impressed at how the author has woven 'real' life into a biblical teaching. Easy to follow along the paths of the characters and the biblical references also.

Reading the book and seeing the colourful photographs are entertaining in this book. Ä°t is commendable that the author of the book undertook the mission to write the book and have it published where other major publishers such as Lonely Planet and Fodor's Guide have ignored the cultural and touristic significance of Armenia 24 years after independence from the USSR.. The guide book is satisfactory, but has some flaws in its content - it delves too deep in the sights and attractions of the capital Yerevan while very briefly going over other areas of the Armenian provinces and countryside and falls far short of being a travel guide for Nagorno Karabagh; my conviction is that Nagorno Karabagh as an independent Armenian mini-republic should have its own travel book not combined with Republic of Armenia. Otherwise the book is worth buying.

Our annual family summer trip was a trip down memory lane but Armenia had changed so much. My last visit 1978, my mother 1938, my father 1991. Now we are a family of 10 introducing our children to their homeland. I am so happy, out of all the tour guides we choose The Stone Garden guide. Having traveled by back pack in my younger days I really enjoyed simple, honest, down to earth opinions and practical suggestions to out of the ordinary destinations. The conversational style of writing was easy to follow and filled with great reflections upon the current enviromental issues, regarding waterways, birds, flowers and especially the delicate aspects of the unprotected churches, caves and historical stone crosses. Each section is filled with travel neccesities along with historical, references to biblical events. Our planning was so smooth, we bought 4 books one for each family and clearly mapped out our day trips with great accuracy and alot of happy, energy contagious from the writers.As we read out loud to our parents, my dad proclaimed," This book is so good, why do we need a tour guide, just read it as we are driving."Thank you, Matthew & Robert for your years of research, great photographs but mostly for helping us recapture the ancient soul of Armenia

Good to read, and a fine travel companion. Very enjoyable, accurate and a well written, well illustrated, and pocketable book for my upcoming visit to Armenia.

Purchased this book for my Armenian mother's birthday after hearing a Podcast by Rick Steves. Rick interviewed one of the authors and I was really inspired to get this book and travel! From the interview, sounds like a very approachable country. Author has also done great photography in another book, which is a must-have.

I got this book for our recent trip to Armenia, based on the reviews I saw here. I am extremely disappointed with the book. One of the main problems is that the authors repeatedly left out important information on the sites listed. For instance, many of the historical churches are given one line of text in the book such as "9th century church with domed frame". But, once at the church and grounds, we read the signs around and realized there was much history at the church included saints martyred and other important events.As a guide to Armenia, the christian culture and shrines and some of the area's best highlights. This guide does a very poor job at highlighting the best this country has to offer.

An excellent book, presenting every detail in a very pleasant fashion. If you are going to visit the land of Noah, the first Christian country, i.e. Armenia, this is a must for you.One of the good things about the book is that it also touches Karabakh. It was liberated from azeri rule about 20 years ago, saving a part of the local Christian population from ethnic cleansing. The book is just brilliant... it talks about many historical monuments and the masterpieces of Nature. At the same time it is not trying to sell you everything: it helps to set the priorities for someone who has a limited time in the country.

Overall, a well organized and professional presentation which really shines when it lets the survivors do the talking. When the survivors are not talking, however, which is much too often, the narration is only sub par at best.Not only is there too much narration (the amount of narration is nearly equal, or perhaps even slightly more, to the amount of time given to voices of Titanic survivors), but it goes beyond what should be a subtle, neutral role limited merely to providing background to the survivors interviewed and perhaps offering some contextual information. That is not the case. The narration too often strays far from a position of neutrality and strays into areas of opinion that are easily proven wrong. One such example is their view of Captain Smith. If one was to formulate their opinion of the Captain based solely on this album, it would be a miracle of they felt any remorse for his death at all due to his extreme, even criminal, negligence. One piece of evidence they use in their condemnation of Smith is his cancellation of the lifeboat drill on Sunday morning, the very day the Titanic hit the iceberg. They claim that Smith cancelled this drill due to his negligence, pride, and overall careless and wreckless attitude. They fail to mention that the drill was, in fact, cancelled for safety reasons. There was a strong breeze that Sunday morning, and as the drill consisted of swinging one of the cutter lifeboats out away from the ship, this would have been extremely dangerous in high breezes. Furthermore, they imply that if the lifeboat drill had been held, it would have actually influenced the disaster in some positive way, perhaps saving more lives. They also fail to acknowledge that, at that time, the lifeboat drill merely consisted of swinging a lifeboat out, and running a few tests to check the lifeboat equipment and lowering apparatus. It was a small affair attended only by crewmen, not passengers, and not many crew at that. Even if the drill had been held, passengers would have still not known where to go and what to do as the ship was sinking. Lifeboat drills are what they are today because of the Titanic, they were not that way before the Titanic (i.e. passengers knowing where to go and how to proceed).Nonetheless, this is still a great album to own, just be aware of some overt bias and presentation of opinions that are not founded in fact and that can often be proven wrong through the application of facts. This problem is, of course, completely mute if you simply focus on the voices of the survivors and others interviewed. They are at the heart of this album, and listening to their own voices is a moving experience. Hearing Charles Lightoller discuss the Masaba's ice warning, and stating that if he had received the warning, he would have slowed down the ship at once and alerted the Captain. These voices represent the heart of the Titanic tragedy, and they illuminate the experiences of those who were actually there. For that reason, I would recommend this album but with the caveat to recognize that the modern day narration is faulty, probably as it was written in haste to provide some quick connecting links between the interviews, which could have been done in a more factually based, accurate, and less biased manner.

This is a very well-constructed audio book which our family listened to while driving to Yellowstone this spring. Riveting accounts by Titanic survivors including passengers and crew members. I would highly recommend this audio book to anyone interested in the history and events of the Titanic.

This is an excellent CD. To hear the actual voices of some of the survivors is a real treat. It is a wonderful narrative of the disaster by those who lived through it. I only wish there could have been more surviors telling their versions.

This is yet another top-quality radio documentary from the BBC, a fascinating 2 hour 25min. programme telling the story of the tragic sinking of the Titanic, drawing on the precious sound-archive interviews of those who were there.It is, as you would expect, an absorbing, compulsive audio document carefully paced and narrated by Tim Piggot-Smith. The production is excellent overall; the subject is sensitively handled with no sensationalism - just the accounts of the survivors, ship-builders and rescuers linked by an informative commentary. The research that has gone into this is impressive; given the plethora of material now available on Titanic, this has to rate highly on the list of anyone interested in this most compelling event in maritime history.A superlative, moving and important 2-disc CD set; its historical value is surely undeniable and I couldn't recommend it any more highly.

Great guide with tips and modifications, very useful when trying to learn and remember yoga poses in home setting.

The fan is great- they don't come apart. It would be 5 star if it came with a detachable ring to hold them all together, and allow for reshuffling. I got one, but it took extra time and a trip to the store. Mostly pose were all beginner/intermediate.

I am newish to Yoga and was looking for a quick refresher on both basic and traditional beginner poses. I did not want a large book to carry on me when I wanted to do a quick refresher and thought this reminded me so much of flash cards during my school days this would be an easy and fun option. It arrived quickly and in a sleeve for easy carrying and for good reason; these are very thin and not durable. I have taken the fan out of the sleeve about ten times and every page/corners are bent and splitting. I have since bought the The Yoga Bible by Christina Brown and have used this book more frequently.

I received the yoga fan today and am already so pleased with my purchase! It was a pleasant surprise to see how the poses are divided by chakras. Each pose is thourougly broken down to explain breathing patterns, proper alignment, and modifications. I know I'll be referring to this fan when I practice to master poses.

I love this tool! I was looking for something to help me when I practice at home, away from the studio. I was so pleasantly surprise that the fan even has cards that breakdown flows for you so it's very easy to get a good practice when there isn't an instructor in front of you. I would definitely recommend this for anyone starting yoga or just wants a resource to help strengthen their personal practice. I would imagine this would be valuable for instructors as well!

This is convenient to carry with for indoor or outdoor yoga sessions. Both sides of the cards have information and instructions; this is great to refresh your memory, create a routine, or set pose goals. I do wish it had MORE advanced poses, but great for beginners.

This little guy is a great reference for anyone! Very informative, wish it covered more poses, but useful to say the least! Great to read through, or keep at the foot of your mat if you are having trouble in a certain pose. Great for beginners, like I mentioned I wish it had some more advanced poses, but still a great tool!

This is truly a very handy device to learn and practice many exercises. At the beginning, the author suggested taking at least one yoga class before initiating these exercises. My spine is very tight. Therefore, most of the exercises are a bit much for me. I do plan to take a class or at the very lease, find exercises that will loosen my spine. A very handy tool to learn exercises, and to tote with your mat on trips, or to yoga class.

Worth every penny as a follow up to Tony Evans book Kingdom Man. This will help you implement and unpack the role of a Kingdom Man. Don't just read the devotional. Take time to answer the questions honestly. Rewarding without the Kingdom Man book. The cover is beautiful and durable. I took this with me every day to work for 90 days and pulled it out of my bag periodically to meditate on the words I read first thing in the morning. I got more value than I actually paid for.

This is a pretty good devotional. I'd rate it higher if each day's devotion had a specific scripture tied to it. Many of the days do not even mention a scripture passage. I would categorize this devotional more for men early on in marriages more so than men who have been married awhile. I did like how the author brought stories from sports into the devotional which were interesting and compelling.

The are many men who have been raised in single parent homes by loving mothers but absentee fathers. Others have been raised in homes where the father was present but was both verbally and physically abusive. In both cases there is a great deal of insecurity as these young men were lost in regard for what it means to be a man. The author of the book, Tony Eveans, shares his testimony about his father who at one time was an alcoholic but came to know Jesus as his savior and Lord. As a result the Bible revealed to him what a godly man looks like and became a model example for his son, Tony, to follow after. His book gives a good Biblical blueprint for becoming the man that God created us to be. I highly recommend that all men read it and follow the instructions in blueprint. It will bless you in ways that you didn't think possible.

I recommend the book to all men young or old. If men take to heart what’s laid out in this book and pass it on to future generations, we may be able too turn the tide in our family’s and then the church and then our communities and then the nation. Men get started and take you rule seriously. Thank you Dr Evans for writing this Devotional. I have shared it with other men and my family on some parts men and women. I have been married for 38 years to my precious bride and we have thirteen children and nine grandchildren. I am still a work in progress, but I am enjoying the Journey.

Bought this for my son. Tony Evans is awesome! My son is enjoying it. There are questions at the end of each day so it engages him in the devotion and in thought. I like that.

I so enjoy reading books by Tony Evans. We are using his Kingdom Man studies at our Church. He is very knowledgeable and makes the studies very interesting. I would recommend his books to everyone.

Great addition to the "Kingdom Man" book from Evan's. You can, however, read this without reading the "Kingdom Man" book prior, although it does help to give some background on his stories and life experiences.

I was always looking for a book like this on critical thinking. Your usual critical thinking book is filled with cherry picked good ideas on the topic but never organized in a thinker to thinker way.Here the author presented 10 great critical thinkers in a chronological-ideological fashion. I appreciated that the author chose thinkers from different schools of thought. The presented thinkers approach critical thinking sometimes from completely different angles yet they all arrive to the same conclusion - that our thoughts should be questioned from time to time. The entire book is a celebration of the essence of critical thinking - familiarizing with opposing thoughts and finding something in them we can connect with.

After reading this book, I find myself considering more how these masters of critical thinking throughout history might solve today's problems, and this book gave me a great introduction and reference point to continue learning more about both the history of critical thinking, and it's evolution around the world through time, focusing on ten of the greatest minds to tackle the world's problems, while teaching others to share that same curiosity and responsibility. The most important thing learned is that we can solve any problem with reason, and we just have to be open to asking the right questions.

An excellent summary of critical thinking philosophies and how they implement into aspects of our lives. The author gives a wonderful, multi-faceted approach to discussing critical thinking. An excellent read!

This audiobook lays out a great foundation to use critical thinking for asking the right questions to solve a problem. It covers several methods and applies them to practical applications. The narrator is perfect for conveying a vast amount of information and keeping you engaged is what is being said. I enjoyed this audiobook and have used the information contained within in my every day life. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great book which focuses on the "heavy hitters" in the world of critical thinkers and philosophy. I liked the each thinker was introduced by a bit of a background and history of them. Further into each chapter is nice explanation of the different methods each one is known for .

This book focuses on well known philosophers like Socrates, Aristotle, Sir Francis Bacon, etc and how their thinking applies to our modern thinking. One of my favorite sections of the book was Descartes and how anyone seeking the truth through critical thinking must question everything even basic things learned as a child because as a child you acquired beliefs and opinions through instinct, sensory data and dogma. This book is put together brilliantly and is one of Albert Rutherford's best works so I'd definitely recommend you pick it up.

This book is well researched, based on the ideas of ancient experts in the critical thinking field. It's a quick read but you may pick it up more than once just to get a quick recap of the techniques and ideas shared. The ideas presented here are sometimes as old as 2500 years old, however, they serve as a good reminder to critical thinking methods that many of us can use even today.
